New Guinness Record!

The new Guinness record has been broken. 99 daredevils (wheelchair users) gathered at English Heathrow Airport to do something that no one had ever done before. A team of disabled people "pulled" the heaviest plane so far at the airport by over 100 meters. The event was also organized for another reason - the main goal was to raise money by the British Charity Organization Aerobility, whose most important mission is to enable all persons with disabilities (without any exception) to use air transport. Aerobility, in order to increase the chances of collecting a sufficient sum of funds, also organized a charity ball during which it was possible to gather over 90 thousand British pounds (about PLN 450,000).

Officially, the weight of the aircraft that was used during the record-breaking has not yet been released, but it is known that the empty Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner weighs about 128.82 tons. According to the Guinness World Records website, the previous record was definitely less impressive (84 disabled people in wheelchairs pulled Hercules C-130 aircraft for over 100 meters, which weight is about 67 tons). It is worth noting that much more can be done, Boeing 787-9 belonging to the fleet of British airlines British Airways is not the heaviest aircraft in the world, for the next daredevils dreaming of breaking the record still waiting Antonov An-225 Mriya (which at the moment is officially the heaviest machine worldwide, weighs over 284 tonnes).

We are impressed by the British performance and we are looking forward to the duel with Antonov!
