Mattel launches a new Barbie series
Barbie has changed a lot over the years, but it is only now, on the occasion of the company's 60th anniversary and in connection with the constant requests of clients, that Mattel is launching something completely new, something that has not been on the market so far. One of the models is a doll in a wheelchair, the other a doll with a prosthetic leg. Charity organizations cooperating with / representing people with disabilities received the news with great recognition, because they believe that disabled children have the right to access toys that reflect their reality and physical condition. Until now, Mattel has often been criticized for promoting Barbie dolls of equal, unreal shape. Customers' complaints are also often related to the color of the skin, that is why the company decided in 2016 to produce dolls that differ in their skin tone.

Mattel's representatives also point out that the new Barbie will be diverse in terms of body structure, in the stores we will find dolls in various sizes and non-standard proportions. The company emphasizes that it has also partnered with UCLA (University of California), as well as with 12-year-old Jordan Reeves, who has a hand prosthesis, that helped to make the new dolls as realistic as possible. Instagram and Twitter of the company is flooded with a wave of positive comments from users.
